Young Entrepreneur Advisory
There is an income tax exemption for those starting their own business for the first time before turning 29. Let us look together, over a phone call, at whether it applies to you.
What is it, in short?
The income tax payable by young people starting a business for the first time can fall to zero for three years.
- 29 Age limit
It is enough that you have not turned 29 when you start the business.
- 400,000 ₺ For 2026
No income tax is charged on the part of your annual profit up to this amount.
- 3 years Duration
It applies for three years, including the year you start the business.
Do you qualify?
If all of the following are true for you, you can benefit from the exemption.
- You are becoming an income taxpayer for the first time because of a commercial, agricultural or professional activity.
- You will not have turned 29 when your tax liability begins.
- You run the business yourself; you are not joining an established business as a partner.
- You are not taking the business over from your spouse or close relatives.
- You notify the start of business within the statutory period — we take care of that part.
If there is a point you are unsure about, ask us and we will look at it together.

Frequently asked questions
I turn 29 this year — am I too late?
What matters is the date you start the business. If you had not turned 29 on that date, you continue to benefit for three years even as you get older.
I opened and closed a tax registration before — can I benefit again?
Unfortunately not. The exemption depends on an income tax registration being opened in your name for the first time.
What if my profit stays below 400,000 TRY?
You still file your annual return even if no tax arises. The unused part does not carry over to the following year.
Can I take over a family business?
The exemption does not apply to a business taken over from your spouse or from relatives up to the third degree. The only exception is a business passing to the spouse and children on death.
We are setting up with two partners — can we both benefit?
In an ordinary partnership or a personal company, each partner can benefit separately if all of them meet the conditions. If even one does not, none of them can.
Is the self-employment contribution support still available?
No. The one-year self-employment contribution support for young entrepreneurs was abolished as of 1 January 2026. Only the income tax exemption now applies.
