Frequently asked questions

Can I find out in advance how much tax I will pay?

Yes, and it is already part of what we do. When the records are kept up to date during the period, your advance tax and year-end corporate or income tax burden becomes largely predictable. We share it before the period closes so you can plan your cash accordingly.

What happens if I file a return late?

A special irregularity fine, a tax loss penalty and late payment interest may arise. If the deadline has passed, filing under voluntary disclosure can reduce the penalty considerably — tell us the moment you notice.

I am under a tax audit, what should I do?

First, stay calm and do not reply to the correspondence on your own. Send us the audit letter; we gather the requested documents, prepare the defence together with you and run the process on your behalf.

Can I obtain a VAT refund?

It is possible in cases such as exports, withholding transactions and supplies subject to a reduced rate. Because the refund process is document-heavy, the bookkeeping has to be set up for it from the start; if your transactions give rise to a refund, tell us early so we can set it up accordingly.

I am a sole trader — what determines my tax burden?

For a sole trader, profit is subject to the progressive income tax tariff; as turnover grows the rate rises. Past a certain point, moving to a limited company can become more advantageous. We can look at your figures and calculate both scenarios — on the company formation page we compare the differences between the types.
